Since you are familiar with the works of writers like enid Blyton and lament aloud when a Pakistani-version of Enid Blyton is likely to appear. Well in my book on Enid Blyton, titled, The Famous Five: A Personal Anecdotage (www.bbotw.com), I discuss the emergence of some African writers such as Barbara Kimenye, long described as “East Africa’s Enid Blyton.” In Nigeria, writers such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie were very much influenced by Enid Blyton in their foramtive years as children.
