SWARIB: At least two dacoits were shot dead while their two associates were rounded up while they were offloading NATO-supply containers in a house in Swarib Town located in Qallat district on Wednesday night, police sources said.
According to police sources, dacoits snatched two containers carrying supply for NATO forces at gunpoint and made away with them in Parlaghar area late on Wednesday night.
Later on, while the dacoits were offloading containers, police arrived on the spot and opened fire on them, killing at least two among them and nabbing two more, police sources told reporters.
Dacoits were gunned down in retaliatory firing after they first attacked on police party, seeing them approach, police sources told media.
Police also claimed recovery of snatched material from their possession, witnesses and police said.
