PESHAWAR: The NWFP Minister for Prisons Mian Nisar Gul has announced two months? ease in sentences of convicts detained over charges of minor offenses in different prisons all across province, Geo news reported.
Addressing a gathering held in Central Jail Peshawar, he said that central jails of Peshawar, Dera Ismael Khan, Hari Pur and Bannu are being computerized.
Announcing the inclusion of ?risk allowance? for jail officials in next fiscal budget, he said the salaries of jail personnel will be equalized to other forces? salaries.
Tehsil prisons are being upgraded as District jails, minister said further.
