RAWALPINDI: The probe into the attack on the chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is underway, meanwhile; police claimed to have identified the assailants who carried out attack, Geo news reported.
Through the guide and information obtained from eyewitnesses who were present at the time of attack, the police have prepared the sketch of assailants, police sources said.
According to preliminary investigations, two attackers, riding motorcycle, came from Bagh-e-Sardaran side while another two accomplices were already present in front of the shooting site outside a snooker club.
They all together opened fire on Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and his guards and fled away towards Islamabad, sources said.
Police now claimed reviewing the situation from various aspects however, no arrest could be ascertained, media reports said.
