ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner (retd) Hamid Ali Mirza has clarified that if any government official gets caught exploiting his official position during by-polls, harsh action will be taken against him, Geo news reported.
This, a statement said in a statement issued from his office on Monday. He has barred Tehsil Nazims, Town Nazims and Naib Nazims from announcement of any development scheme in concerned constituencies and will not donate money either.
He vowed strict actions against Nazims over violation of ECs rules.
